The tour starts at 9 am as the driver will take you from your hotel in Sofia and from there you will head to Rila Mountain. The transfer time to the mountain region is about an hour and a half. 

Your journey begins with a comfortable private pickup from your accommodation in Sofia. After a scenic drive through picturesque countryside and mountain landscapes, you will arrive at Borovets, Bulgaria’s oldest and most beloved mountain resort.

Spend free time exploring the charming alpine village, taking a scenic gondola ride, enjoying a walk through the pine forests, or relaxing with a coffee at one of the cozy mountain restaurants. Borovets offers breathtaking views and a refreshing atmosphere year-round.

After your time in the mountains, continue your journey with a relaxing spa experience at one of the region’s renowned thermal spa centers.

Unwind in warm mineral pools, saunas, and wellness facilities while surrounded by peaceful mountain scenery — the perfect way to recharge your body and mind. The estimated return to Sofia is between 5 pm and 6 pm.

OTHER INFORMATION:

-          Hotel pick up at 9 am: please indicate your hotel

-          Tour duration: about 8-9 hours

-          Tsari Mali Grad Fortress is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

-          Tsarska Bistritsa is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays

-          Please dress appropriately for winter conditions

-          Prices for more than 8 people: upon request
